The Alabama Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) invites counselors, social workers, psychologists, and other helping professionals to submit proposals for two-hour clinical presentations at our 2026 Annual Conference.
This annual event brings together Employee Assistance and mental health professionals from across Alabama and the Southeast to explore new ideas, strengthen professional practice, and advance the well-being of employees and organizations. This is an enjoyable and casual-style conference where the focus is quality presentations in a beachside environment. Schedule promotes self-care and networking beachside, poolside or at one of the many coastal cuisine restaurants. Discounted condo booking at all Brett Robinson properties. (Discount Code coming soon) Two lunches are included for all attendees, as well as a BINGO night with prizes, tie-dyed shirt day and Hawaian shirt day. Lots of great exhibitors/sponsors to make connections with resources to benefit your clients.
Topics of Interest
We welcome clinically focused presentations on a variety of counseling and mental health topics related to employee assistance, including:
- Workplace stress, burnout, and resilience
- Substance use and recovery
- Depression, anxiety, and mood disorders
- Grief, loss, and trauma
- Family and relationship dynamics
- Supporting children and adolescents
- Eating disorders and body image
- Ethics, diversity, and inclusion
Sessions may be lecture-style, interactive, or experiential. Collaborative presentations with multiple speakers are encouraged.

Proposal Requirements
Each proposal should include:
- Presentation title
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Three measurable learning objectives
- Presenter name(s), credentials, title, organization, email, and phone number
- 100-word bio for each presenter
- Preferred contact person (if applicable)
